Procurement Manager

Alamance, NC

The Role: Responsible for the plant procurement performance, leaning on the regional commodity buyers team for direct material, managing local requirements and suppliers for subcontracting, leading Indirect material buyers and Supplier Quality activities, and ensuring a robust VAVE process, follow up and implementation at plant level.

Procurement:Achieve specific procurement goals within area of responsibility. May also involve working to improve established procurement procedures.

Buying:Negotiate with vendors on product assortment and price. Involves working either on a small to medium category of products, merchandise, or services or on specified products and services within a large category.

Contract Requirements: Identify contract requirements and write specifications for a medium portfolio or area of the business for existing contracts and/or new contracts.

Contract Management:Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan.

Local Category Management:Deliver specific category goals within a category plan/program in line with the organizations’ purchasing/procurement and/or sales strategy.

Budgeting: Deliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization.

Management: Manage plant buyers and plant purchasingteam ensuring transparency, accuracy, and consistency of data in the purchasing information systemsManage accurate and on time monthly reporting by the plants according to Division’s process and with Division’s tools.

**Work Location:**On-Site at Alamance, NC site

Direct Reports: 3

**Travel:**Will travel domestically, up to 20%

**What are we looking for?**

Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree

Experience:Minimum 5-7 years in Procurement Leadership Role

Systems: SAP ERP system, preferred

Industry: Automotive experience, preferred
